iGO8 Ultra Skin 5.0

This skin provides extra functions to iGO8 to facilitate easier route planning and navigation.
Supported resolutions are 320x240, 240x320, 640x480 and 480x640 only.

Installation Instructions:

  • Install the Speed Camera Voice files by unzipping the "audio" folder and copying it to the iGO8 folder on the SD Card.
  • Install the skin by copying the "iGo8_Ultra.zip" file to the Content/Skin folder, then select it in the application "Skin" menu.
  • Install the Bluetooth Switcher by copying the "BTOnOff.exe" file to the "iGO8" folder On The Device.

Latest Version 5.0 Modifications:

Updated to be fully compatible with iGO8 Version 8.0.0.49545 dated 30th July 2008

OFFICIAL UPDATE

An update is released for Nav N Go iGO 8

An update (R1 patch) is released on 29th August 2008 for Nav N Go iGO 8 users, which fixes most known problems, updates several free contents, and almost doubles the number of compatible PDA devices.

The update is available free of charge through Content Manager update PC-tool. Those who bought their Nav N Go iGO 8 in a retail shop, can install Content Manager from the DVD that came with the SD card, while those, who upgraded from the iGO My way 2006 version through my.navngo.com site already downloaded and used it for the previous upgrade.

Downloading and installing this update with the Content Manager does not require product registration or any license or activation key.

The update provides fixes for most knows software problems and others optimizing the softwares performance and speed. It also offers many free content updates, including languages, schemas and voices. Support for 240x240 px screen resolution has also been added

RouteConverter Tool 1.20

Introduction

RouteConverter is a tool to convert routes. It helps me and I hope it could help you.

  • parses and converts elevations from pilsit.logpos ITN files
  • parses and converts elevations from Pilog Pro ITN files
  • allows to complement elevation and place name of positions from http://www.geonames.org zu komplettieren
  • integrates the option dialog to the "Misc" tab
  • tries harder with brokes NMEA files
  • tries harder to retain the button column on right visible
  • updates the map only if it is visible
  • allows to test the communication from IeEmbed.exe to RouteConverter.exe
  • uses uppercase letters for the suggested file names of GoPal Route (*.xml) files
  • avoids an error during the initialization of the map view if Firefox 3 is the default browser
  • fixes a bug while moving of positions on the map (not under Windows Vista)
  • fixes a bug which did not allow to choose the route view directly but had to choose waypoints and track first
  • fixes a bug while reading MagicMaps (*.pth) files
  • fixes a bug while reading GoPal Route (*.xml) files
  • fixes a bug evaluating more than one position from the geocode attributes of Google Maps-URLs
  • fixes a bug where a route was not painted if a position had no coordinates

iGO 8 UK poi icon set 478 icons in total

m8rk:I compiled this complete iGO8 poi icon set for the UK. Complete in that every category in the poi menu's have an icon pre allocated, so you don't have to search through and do it yourself!

478 icons in total, a lot taken from poiplaza.com , so credit to the author there. I made a lot myself too.

To install, copy branding.zip to your iGO8 folder on the SD card. You may want to back up the one there first, if there is one.

diMka 1.3.20 Skin Update



There have been several changes to the 480x272 version. It looks a lot better now. Also the other versions have been updated to version 1.3.20. Also, the diMka original skin now has 400x240 and 416x234 added.

Version 1.3.20 fixes some audio bugs and improvements.

iGO 8 diMka Skin 1.3.17 with 480x272 resolution Specter's edit


Specter : it is a lot better than the original version. It cleans up a lot of navigation screen bugs. There are still some odd bugs but it is usable now. I think people with 480x272 will be happy to have something.Please post any bug comments here and I will keep track of what needs fixing.

note:link is updated as soon as Specter releases a new version

Xerses color schemes- (stand-alone version)

The seasonal schemes are intended for mediterranean regions (South Italy, Spain, Greece...)
Please use "North summer" for generate more green landscapes in this season if you find the default scheme with too arid colours.

To install
Copy the schemes in folder SD\iGO8\Content\Scheme

Select scheme in Settings menu\Map visual\Colour profiles in iGO8 navigator.

Romanian Lang/Keyb PDA v0.2.5/data 44366 24.08.2008

danero2005:I've translated the pack like it should be includind the new words from skin :dimka specter, dimka ,igo specter, igo ultra.

Removed bad sentences and replaced wrong info.
Tested on 320/240 and 240/320 and it works very well ,I asume that in higher resolutions works even better.

Just replace the old data with the new one (don't forget to remove the v0.2 from the name) the data is from the 41506 version unmodified
I also maked some refreshments in the language file so that it fits the new keyboard

  • Added a fix for the iGO8 "Off-Route Recalculation" bug. With "Off-Route Recalculation" initially on, loading a saved route and then answering "Yes" to the subsequent prompt turns off "Off-Route Recalculation" which is correct. But now, with the bug fix, tapping the green "Recalculate" icon on the "Map" screen will automatically turn "Off-Route Recalculation" back on again.

  • Slight changes to the TTSkin Logo
  • Added a new ITALIAN TTS voice (Voice_TTS-loq-Ita-f1HQLT_gliko) heavily changed for better understanding.
Setup:
  1. Download SKIN file and AUDIO file.
  2. decompress AUDIO file and copy the \AUDIO folder in the IGO8 root folder in your SD (\SD\IGO8\AUDIO)
  3. decompress SKIN file and copy the content of the IGO8 folder in the IGO8 root folder of you device's SD
  4. Start IGO8 and select from the menu SETTINGS/INTERFACE the item "TTSKINXL_BY_GLIKOGLIKO"
  5. If you want, you can select also the TTGLIKO scheme color.
